Percutaneous Tenotomy

Restarts healing in chronically damaged tendons.

Percutaneous tenotomy is a minimally invasive needle procedure used to break up scar tissue and stimulate a healing response within degenerative tendon tissue. It may be combined with PRP when appropriate.

Dr. Kareem Qaisi's POV

Chronic tendinopathy often involves degenerative tissue that fails to heal through rest and physical therapy alone. Tenotomy mechanically disrupts damaged tissue to restart the healing process and improve tendon structure. In some cases, we combine this with PRP to further support recovery in stubborn, long-standing tendon injuries.
